(nee Marinella) age 91, passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2018. She had been in declining health for several years. Born and raised in Camden, Anita was married to Henry for 35 years. After his death, she became an executive secretary at Campbell Soup Co. where she retired in 1991. Anita was a gifted singer and organist. She taught voice at the Edna Wood Studio and was also a church musician, serving on the Camden Diocesan Liturgical Commission for many years. Not only did she sing and play for weddings and funerals in the area, she was also the choir director for numerous parishes, some of which include St. Ann's in Westville, St. Teresa's in Runnemede and Transfiguration in Collingswood. She was also a member of Singing City in Philadelphia and the Greater South Jersey Chorus.
Anita was a devoted mother and friend and is survived by her son Bob and daughters Gail (Rod Crow) and Barbara (Michael Hanley), sister Flora (Fingerhut) and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Nicholas.
Viewing on Thursday, January 18th will be held at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, St. Vincent Pallotti Church, 901 Hopkins Rd., Haddon Twp., NJ from 10:00 to 11:30 AM followed by Mass and interment at Lakeview Memorial Park, Rt. 130, in Cinnaminson.
