Andrew A. Szczepanski

October 14, 1927 — July 11, 2013

Age 85 of Audubon, NJ passed away on July 11, 2013. Andy was the beloved husband of the late Ellen A. (nee Burns). He is survived by his son Joseph A. Szczepanski; 2 granddaughters Shannon and Jessica; also several nieces and nephews.

Andy was born and raised in Camden and was a graduate of Camden Catholic High School. While in school, he worked part-time for area American Stores nka Acme Markets. After graduation, he went on to serve his county as PFC in the US Army and served during the Korean Campaign. In 1961, he moved to Audubon and continued working for various Acme Markets for 48 years until his retirement from the Gloucester City store. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing with his family along the Delaware Bay, the Villas, Wildwood and Tuckerton, West Creek. He was an avid sports fan of Notre Dame football and loved the Phillies. But his deep devotion to St. Jude was his strength and inspiration.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing Tuesday evening 6-8PM and again on Wednesday morning 8:30-9:45AM at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W. Atlantic Ave, Audubon, NJ 08106. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish-St. Vincent Pallotti RC Church, 901 Hopkins Road, Haddon Twp., NJ 08033. Burial with Military Honors will follow at New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr. In memory and in tribute, Andy's family has requested in lieu of flowers contributions to: St. Jude's Shrine, 512 W Saratoga St, Baltimore, MD 21201 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
