Alberta Evans

On July 29, 2006 of Oaklyn formerly of Audubon, age 75 yrs. Alberta was born in Camden, daughter of the late Alfred and Alma Giffins, beloved wife of 54 years of David M. Dear mother of Emilie Hus of Audubon and Cynthia Paranto of Sicklerville; loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren; Mark David Paranto

Mrs. Evans graduated from Audubon High School in 1948. She continued her education and earned her degree from Glassboro State College in 1951. Alberta taught in Mt. Ephraim and in Audubon at the Haviland Ave. School. She retired from substitute teaching in 2005 after 50 years of educating. Alberta was an active Parishioner of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Oaklyn and had been a member and President of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA).

Friends may call Sunday evening 6-9PM at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W. Atlantic Ave., Audubon. Funeral Services will be held on Monday 11AM at
St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1 East Haddon Ave., Oaklyn, NJ 08107. Friends may call at the church after 10AM Monday morning. Interment Harleigh Cemetery. The family request, in lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the church at the above address.
